This kit is built around our world famous 50” Self-Locking Sluice Box. The Sluice Box can be used alone or by removing the Flare and adding the Hopper it can be used as a True-Highbanker. The following items are included with this kit.
- Self-Locking Sluice, 50” long X 9” wide, Folds down to 15” for storage.

The folding sluice was my first ever gold prospecting purchase several years ago. I’ve recently added the Royal high/banker hopper to the setup and I can honestly say it has impressed me.
Why this equipment works for me – I have several high bankers, but I needed one for an electric-only claim I recently started working on. I also needed something lightweight to carry around. My other high bankers need significant water flow (gas pumps), which is just not an option for this particular area, and are significantly larger/heavier. I looked at several vendors for a new electric-based high banker but decided to upgrade my Royal sluice.
Review – I like the fact that the included pumps are more than adequate enough to power the sluice. I power the unit with a 24 AH Lithium-Ion battery and have plenty of power to last for hours. The overall setup is lightweight and looks awesome. The frame is a must, even if you are just using it as a stream sluice. I leave the sluice and hopper attachment mounted to the frame at all times, which makes transport very easy. The only downside is the price, but you have to pay for quality.
Adjustments – I had to pull apart the spray bars to set them correctly. There isn’t any glue, but they were hard to pull apart. I created a power-pole wiring harness to make the battery connection easier.
Future Modifications – I would have liked the ability to include a punch plate and miners moss where the water crashes, but I am not sure if this is possible (might sacrifice water flow).
Overall, I am highly impressed with the unit. I just wished there were more YouTube videos showing the unit. My next purchase will likely be the Royal Trommel; just have to start saving up for it now.
